Phuket: Thailand's Dental Tourism Overture

Thailand's Beach

Spectacular scenery, equatorial flora and fauna, stunning tropical sunsets and warm blue Andaman Sea awaits you at one of Asia's most popular and relaxed beach destinations. The island itself provides a voyageur's wonderland where white sand beaches, gracious Thai hospitality, and affordable dentistry make Phuket the singular Thai solution for dental travelers.

However, one would be remiss to focus only on oral healthcare as Phuket is beatified with several international standard championship golf courses, world-class diving in the Andaman, and eco-adventures for those with the desire to challenge the jungle. And after a spectacular sunset one should take in the sights at Patong Beach for the sometimes raucous or spiritual nightlife.

Phuket is a city of some 75,000 people on Phuket Island in Thailand. Being close to the equator, it enjoys a tropical monsoon climate with low temperature variation. The rainy season runs from April to November, and the dry season after that, although it may rain at any time of the year. English is a compulsory school subject and many Phuket people know it as their second language.

Local children have access to a number of state and private schools, with several catering to the English-speaking expatriate community. The Prince of Sonkla University maintains a satellite campus in the city. Its Faculty of Dentistry on Hat Yai Campus has been delivering dedicated dentists since 1983. Some of these have made Phuket their home, where they provide wide-ranging dental treatments including implants and porcelain veneers.

These specialists deliver dental services in Phuket to the highest dental standards, and regularly update their knowledge of the latest implant, veneer, crown and bridge techniques. Their dental prices are also relatively inexpensive on foreign currency cross rates. This makes their cosmetic dental surgery doubly attractive.

It can be a little confusing trying to choose among perfectionists like these. Dental Travel Services has a pre-approved network of the very best Phuket dentists. Please be assured of our best service when it comes to porcelain veneers and dental treatments generally. You don’t even need to make a phone call. You can do book and confirm your services online with ease and speed.

Phuket International Airport (HKT) is the main point of entry to the island, and is a convenient half-hour ride away from all major city points of interest. It has excellent facilities and offers overnight accommodation in local hotels should this be desired. An impressive number of international and local airlines fly in and out regularly. Bangkok is only 1:15h by air and Singapore is 1 hour by air; thus, Phuket is accessible.

This impressive yet romantic city offers every conceivable form of accommodation, from traditional Thai hospitality to the grandest western hotels. Before and after your dental visit – be it for surgical removal, dental implant or veneer work – please be assured of their kindest service. Being a major dental vacation destination means that special kitchen orders are a matter of routine.

Dental Travel Services provides bespoke services adjusted to suit the tastes of discerning clients. Please speak to us when requiring travel arrangements, dental treatment, and accommodation that matches your requirements. We have preferred partners in every aspect of the industry. Public transport within Phuket is limited. There are a few full-size buses, but the most common modes of transport are the songthaews (basically converted pick-up trucks serving as buses), tuk-tuks and motorbike taxis.
