Dental Tourism in Asia

Thailand, is the granddaddy of dental tourism in Asia. There are world class clinics throughout the Kingdom of Thailand. Though Bangkok is the most popular owing to it being the arrival point for most, other destinations like Phuket, etc, all have very good dental services and are well-known for quality throughout the healthcare system.

Philippines, for those "in-the-know" is an established and comfortable destination. The Philippines is home to perhaps the best English speaking population in Asia. It is "Westernized" in the sense that many of the chains and global brands are active throughout the country. It is Christian and capitalist so the culture is not a big jump for most from the West. The Philippines has world class dental care and that is why it is hugely popular with Australians and Kiwis and has been for many years. Many Americans who were stationed in the Philippines many years ago travel to the archipelago for dental work. Excellent dentists can be found in Makati, Manila, Quezon, and throughout the country.

Vietnam, Perhaps the best "value" destination in the world at this time (2017) owing to the depreciation of the dong. Vietnam has always had a very good education system, especially in the sciences. In recent years it has become known for medical and dental tourism as the training hospitals and governing bodies follow international accreditation guidelines. They are serious. Thus, we can recommend select clinics without hesitation.

Cambodia, stereo-types die hard. This little emerging tiger is another value destination. It has UN World Heritage sites, white sand beaches, and some of the better dental clinics and dentists in its small corner of Asia. It has become increasingly popular with dental travelers over the past 10 years, particularly with Australians, and the trend is poised to continue.

Malaysia, With today’s European and North American dental care prices being out of the reach of many, more people are combining a holiday to Malaysia with affordable dental care. This multicultural nation offers state-of-the-art dental surgeries and well-qualified, English speaking dentists to cater to all of your dental needs, cosmetic or otherwise.

Indonesia, particularly Bali, represents value, quality, and convenience for dental services. From implants to root canals, the providers and clinics are ready and accessible with well-trained professional staff and affordable services.

India, A hotspot for dental tourism in Asia, India offers dental treatments of the highest standards, with top technology and modern facilities. Because of its high standards and cost-effective prices, India is an attractive dental tourism destination. Patients pay less than they would do in Europe, even when they include the airfare and dentist expenses. The country is home to many international dental clinics, most of which have served tourists from the US, the UK and other European countries for more than 20 years.

Russia, is becoming a popular destination for those seeking specialist medical attention or medical spas, particularly for Germans, at a fraction of the cost of many Western hospitals or medical spas. Russia offers competitive competence and quality to patients, in addition to luxurious and therapeutic accommodations. For those traveling to Russia, or medical treatment or procedures, many facilities have the same quality, integrity and credentials as Western doctors and hospitals, often offering services for 40-80% less.
