- Removal of Wisdom Teeth
Slovenia has mastered the art of combining nature with the urban environment, this mix gives rise to some of the most beautiful and relaxing environments to be enjoyed. Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, is one of Europe’s greenest and most livable cities.
Traveling to Slovenia is easy, the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) is Slovenia's primary international airport servicing numerous cities across Europe and offers connections to Southeast Europe. Trains and buses are readily available for shorter trips to Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, Slovenia’s beautiful neighboring countries.
Things to Do in Slovenia
Besides the excellent dental services on offer, Slovenia offers its visitors some of the most beautiful landscapes and sights. Ljubljana itself is perfectly set up for visitors, with most of the top attractions located in a compact pedestrianized area surrounded by the beautiful Ljubljanica River.
The most popular of these attractions is the Ljubljana Castle which offers beautiful sweeping views of the city from its watchtower. As well as the usual historical exhibits, there are some excellent restaurants within the castle that are worth a visit. On the way up to the castle you will make your way through the city’s Old Town lined with 19th-century wooden shop fronts, quiet courtyards and cobblestone passageways.
The Ljubljana Botanical Gardens are the country’s oldest cultural, scientific and educational institution, established in 1804. There are over 4,500 different species and subspecies in the gardens, a third of which are native to Slovenia.
Ljubljana has an excellent bicycle hire network set up allowing visitors to see what the city has to offer in a quick and easy manner. The first hour is free and there are plenty of hire and docking stations located across the city.
While making your way through the streets of the old city centre, or along the banks of the Ljubljanica River, a visit to Ljubljana's picturesque central market, designed by the famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik comes highly recommended. Here you will find everything from the usual fruits, vegetables and herbs to Slovenian specialties such as prosciutto and the Potica cake.
If you can find time, before or after your treatment to explore a little of this amazing country, you will find yourself enriched by the culture, the spectacular views and the wonderful people of this young, yet ancient land.
